10 easy points. Just for you!?
I attend college in Minnesota and will relocate to the Denver metro area in January 2008. I will begin sending my resume out in February. In a perfect world, I would be able to schedule all of my interviews during a one week period in the summer.
What is the appropriate way to go about this? Should I mention that, "I will be in the area between XYZ dates and would be available for a face-to-face interview at that time?"
I would like to thank you in advance for taking time out of your day to assist me in my efforts. Truly, your help is appreciated!
Best Regards,
Joshua

Along with your resume you should also send a cover letter.
In this letter you should state that you will be in the area on date X to Y. Explain in the letter your situation, about your want to be a part of the company and how you would really like to speak with them face to face about it. If they like your resume then they will go to the cover letter and find out more about you. Also make sure that you say you are more than willing to do phone interviews if they want to talk to you before hand. If they really like you and really want to talk to you saying that you are ONLY available for certain dates can be a minus to you.
Note: Do not put your available interview dates on your resume, only in the cover letter.
