I’m currently a junior at the U of M in Minneapolis, and was hoping to get some advice on Chicago living? I like Minneapolis, but I’m looking to get out of Minnesota once I graduate (lived here all my life, and am ready to try something new). I visited Chicago a few times in high school and really loved it, however, I don’t have any info when it comes to actually living there. If someone could compare Minneapolis (which I am very familiar with) to Chicago (in terms of cost of living, winter weather, the over-all "feel" of the city, ease of finding an apartment, etc.), that would be very helpful.

I just moved to Minneapolis and I want to transfer my prescriptions but don’t feel like calling 50 pharmacies to compare prices. Cosco was cheap back in California, but there is not one close by. Any ideas?

I want to determine a fair price and do not want to make it too high. But if I make it too low, aren’t I essentially making a gift and subject to taxation if the gift is greater than 000?

So i have been thinking about moving to Minneapolis. I am wondering what it is like, because i have never been there!
I currently live in North-west Montana, so i am use to the cold winters, and mild/hot summers. I have never lived in a city.
I want to be a flight attendent, so i know i could live in Minneapolis. Is it expensive?
I dont have much reasons for wanting to live there besides i want to live in a city with a major airport.

I guess i also love the vikings but thats not a good reason.

Anyway whats it like?

I’ve been really pondering the idea of moving to Minneapolis to finish out my schooling. But right now I live in New York, so i assume moving there would be completely different. New York has amazing gay clubs, and thats my only issue about Minneapolis. I heard they don’t have many dance clubs? Is this true? I’m not the type of person to go to a quiet bar or a gay lounge.

I am attempting to sell my parents house. I live in southern california, where real estate prices are out of control. However, they live in rural Pennsylvania. Their neighboorhoodis VERY rundown, but they have maintained their home very well. However, I am having a really hard time getting a decent amount of money for their home. I was hoping for 150k (3 bdr, 2 bath, 3000 sq. ft), pool, 1 acre of land, separate unattached garage, and another building that is 1 bedroom, 1 bath designed for a maid or nanny. Would it be advisable to sell parcels of land? No one is willing to pay much for this piece of property because the area is so bad – Fayette County, PA 15478
I know 150 isn’t much, my husband and i bought a house for 2.2 million (AIGH) but that is the price i was hoping for – which no one is willing to pay anyways.

My parents owned their home as Joint Tenants, and now my father has passed away. Everything they had was joint, so there is no probate, but do they need to have a deed prepared/recorded transferring the title from both of them as JT to my mother’s name alone? Or can they just wait until she wants to sell or transfer the property and record the change then?

If it matters, the property is in Minnesota.
