Minneapolis gay clubs?
I’ve been really pondering the idea of moving to Minneapolis to finish out my schooling. But right now I live in New York, so i assume moving there would be completely different. New York has amazing gay clubs, and thats my only issue about Minneapolis. I heard they don’t have many dance clubs? Is this true? I’m not the type of person to go to a quiet bar or a gay lounge.

i would google minneapolis night clubs, or dance clubs, or even gay clubs and see what comes up. they probably do if you look hard enough…
Minneapolis is a great city for LGBT nightlife. I went to college in Minneapolis and now live in NYC. To be honest, sometimes I think NYC’s LGBT scene is pathetic in comparison to what Minneapolis had to offer.
The gay scene is much smaller than New York, but in my opinion there is much more of a community feeling than you’ll find here in NYC.
As far as clubs go, they have a few dance clubs but they tend to play more top 40 hits (compared to NY where I feel like all they play is techno/house). It also depends on what type of guys you like. New York has a huge mix of guys, whereas in Minneapolis you can tell that most of the guys have Scandinavian heritage.
The bottom line is that Minneapolis packs a punch when it comes to LGBT nightlife. It’s an undiscovered gem. While it will never be New York, it doesn’t try to be and that’s what I miss most about it.
