My Mom let me and now my ex fiance, borrow furniture until we could get our own. My name wasn’t put on the lease due to him fiddling around with rent and I didn’t want to be held responsible for it.

Anyways, long story short, I broke-up with him because he wanted to Move to Minnesota, and I have nothing up there to go to and my family is right here where I’m at. So I grabbed what I could and told him I would be back for my furniture. Took the cops, the cops said I could break down the door but I would have to pay for it, wasn’t starting any problems so refused. I have tried repeatedly to contact him, left him messages, told him I wanted my furniture and nothing.

How can I get my furniture back without having to sue?Since the leasing office won’t let me in, I have no idea what to do except file a stolen property report.

Any Ideas?

my fiance and i are looking at properties to buy within the next year and i decided i want to buy land with a house and build my own barn.i am planning on something rather small, steel, with 2 large stalls, a tack room and a open area for general shelter (i don’t know what to call that). i want a cement floor and running water, with a drain in the floor. my question is, has anyone built anything similar? I’m wondering what it’s going to cost? any ideas? also, i should mention, we will be buying our property in minnesota, so i will need insulation and i’m thinking something to prevent the pipes from freezing??? i’m clueless about all of this and i am hoping to get as much info as possible before contacting builders. ANY advice or suggestions would be so appreciated!!! Thanks!

I will be getting married in about a year and my fiance would like to move closer to his family. I have family in Minnesota, where we currently live, but all of his family is in Indiana, close to the northern border.

Can anyone suggest a nice place to live in between there? Jobs, homes, schools or any other information about it?

To make it easier- i want to be as close as home to possible, and he wants to be as close to his, but is willing to move anywhere as long as it is within 2-5 hrs of his hometown.

Any suggestions?

I’ll be getting married on June 20 this year. My fiance, a resident of Minnesota, and I met when he transferred to a university up in Michigan where I lived.
After we started dating, I got a job in Minneapolis and relocated there. By the time we’re married, I’ll have lived in Minnesota long enough to be considered a resident. He remains a resident of Minnesota even though he’s living in Michigan going to school.
After he graduates, he’ll move to MN where I am and will have lived here approximately 6 weeks by the time we’re married. Our wedding will be in Michigan, where we know the most people.

So, my question is, in which state do we get a license? We’ll both be residents of Minnesota but marrying in Michigan.

hi, my fiance and i are getting married next month. i am returning to school (rad tech) in the summer coming, and it’s a 2 yr program. once completed, we would like to relocate. we currently live in south louisiana and are thinking about moving to minnesota. everything we have heard about minnesota has been wonderful. how are the schools up there? what about cancer rates? how many major hospitals are there? what’s the best part of the state to start in as a new-comer? thank you so much!
