thinking of moving to minnesota…?
hi, my fiance and i are getting married next month. i am returning to school (rad tech) in the summer coming, and it’s a 2 yr program. once completed, we would like to relocate. we currently live in south louisiana and are thinking about moving to minnesota. everything we have heard about minnesota has been wonderful. how are the schools up there? what about cancer rates? how many major hospitals are there? what’s the best part of the state to start in as a new-comer? thank you so much!

I would check out Red Wing, MN. It is about an hour south of the cities and about an hour from Rochester where the Mayo Clinic(the best hospital in the country). It’s on the Mississippi and is a larger small town. You would love the scenic part of it, it’s quaint downtown, the nice friendly people and the quality of life in general. As long as you don’t mind winter for almost 6 months, Minnesota is wonderful.
If you are considering the metro area proper, I would consider Blaine. It is the up and coming burb’. The home prices are more affordable than Plymouth and it has everything.
