What can anyone tell me about these Minnesota cities?
My hubby’s company is offering him a relocation and we wanted to move anyway. Out of the states listed, we thought Minnesota would be the best. We are still not sure if we want to move there, but was wondering what anyone can tell us about these cities.
We want to know if they are nicer cities or trashy kinda cities, what the crime rate is like, if they are more city like or more suburb like or more small town like or a combination, what the shopping and entertainment is like, what the school system is like, the whole 9 yards. And your own personal opinion too.
Thank you in advance.

Depends where hubby works. Traffic congestion in the Twin Cities is horrible, so you’ll want to live as close as possible. Here are the general locations of the cities compared to Minneap/St Paul.
-Brooklyn Center or Brooklyn Park – West
-Eden Prairie – southwest
-Bloomington – south/southwest
-Coon Rapids – northwest
-Chanhassen – southwest
-Blaine – northwest
-Chaska – southwest
-Burnsville – south
-Shakopee – south
-Prior Lake – south
Most of these towns aren’t too far from each other. I live 5 minutes north of Chaska. They all have good schools (really, you can’t complain much about the MN educational system). Brooklyn Park and Center I would stay away from…kind of ghetto. I’d also avoid Shakopee & Prior Lake (casino). My favs are Eden Prairie (EP) and Chanhassen (Chan). Good schools, low crime and all that good stuff. EP has a nice mall, quick access to Interstate 494 which will take you all around the Twin Cities. If you’d like a good suburban/country mix, Chaska is a good place. New Highway 212 makes it much easier to live there.
